Terms of service

Not lawyer-reviewed and not active for live sales. The operator’s legal identity, address, complaint contact and final cancellation wording must be completed first.

1. The service

YourDate.lol is a public singles leaderboard. Eligible adults can publish a compact profile, link to Instagram, receive Hearts and purchase temporary leaderboard visibility through a Boost.

2. What a Boost buys

A Boost buys ranking visibility only. It does not buy, control or grant access to another person. It does not guarantee a date, match, message, follower, Instagram visit, profile view or any other engagement.

3. Ranking

Active profiles are ordered by their confirmed active Boost total. If totals are equal, the profile that first reached that total ranks higher. Another valid Boost may overtake you at any time. Existing users pay only the difference between their current total and chosen new total.

4. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18, create a profile only for yourself, provide accurate information, keep access to your account secure and follow the Rules. Public launch requires the final age-assurance and Online Safety Act assessments; a DOB checkbox alone is not a guarantee of age.

5. Profiles and Instagram

You must own or have permission to use every photo and must control the Instagram handle you claim. A verified badge is added only after an approved OAuth check or a human confirms the assigned code on the public Instagram profile. We never ask for Instagram passwords. Instagram is a separate service and does not sponsor YourDate.lol.

6. Prices and payment

The amount due is shown before checkout. Card details are collected by Stripe when live payments are enabled. A ranking changes only after a verified server-side payment event. Failed or incomplete payments do not change the board.

7. Cancellation and refunds

Your statutory consumer rights are not excluded. Boost visibility normally begins immediately after confirmed payment. Before live sales, checkout must explain any request to begin performance during a cancellation period and the consequences under applicable consumer law. Legitimate refunds are returned through the original payment method where possible; refunded Boost value stops qualifying for paid ranking. Fraud, duplicate charges and services not supplied will be investigated promptly.

8. Moderation and safety

We may reject, hide or remove impersonation, underage profiles, non-consensual images, scams, harassment, hate, explicit sexual content or illegal material. Users can report profiles. Serious or repeated breaches may lead to suspension or a ban. Required illegal-content and children’s-access risk assessments, complaint processes and moderation records must be operational before public launch.

9. Your content

You keep ownership of your content. You grant the operator a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, resize and display it only as needed to operate, moderate and promote your profile within the service. This licence ends when the content is deleted, subject to backups and legal retention.

10. Availability and liability

We aim to keep the service accurate and available but cannot promise uninterrupted access or a permanent rank. Nothing limits liability where UK law does not permit it to be limited, including liability for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence.

11. Ending use

You may stop using the service and request profile deletion. We may suspend or terminate accounts for safety, fraud, legal or Rules violations. Transaction history may be retained where required.

12. Complaints and governing law

A working electronic complaints channel and the operator’s service address must be published before launch. These terms are intended to be governed by the law of England and Wales without removing any mandatory consumer protection available where a customer lives.
